Barcelona Airport

Barcelona Airport is about 12 kilometres from the city and you can get there easily by public transport.

Barcelona airport has recently been reorganised and there are now two terminals, the new Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 2 is in 3 separate buildings previously called Terminals A, B and C.
Airport authorities now refer to the reorganised terminals as T1 and T2A, T2B, and T2C.
Be sure to check which T2 is yours as T2A and T2C are a long way apart.

Free Shuttle between Terminals
T1 and T2 are even further apart and you may need half an hour or more to get from one to other.
There is a free shuttle service operating between them. The shuttle buses are green and stop outside T1, T2B and the train station which is close to T2A. Between T1 and T2 the buses run about every 10 – 15 minutes.
Those leaving the station coincide with the trains, every 30 minutes.

T2A is now closed to the public,although I have checked in at T2C and had to walk the entire length of the Airport to board at T2A after passing security.

Corporate Terminal
There is also a private and corporate Aviation Terminal with its own passport control and security. Time from car park to boarding is seven minutes.The apron handles 42 corporate aviation spaces used by CNAir, Gestair, Universal Jet, Bks, Punto Fa, Corporate Jets, Bcn Jets and Executive Airlines.

Transport to and from Barcelona Airport.

It generally takes about half an hour to get to Barcelona city centre from the airport whether using bus, taxi, train or private transfer. The journey can take longer due to queueing, congestion and the terminal you leave from.
